He knows what is at hand & does everything he can to accomplish that task. His dedication & determination to achieve these goals have separated him from most. This young man has shown a pure heart, & a willingness to overcome any obstacle. Through many physical & mental challenges he remaines positive & upbeat. His outlook on life is always positive & enthusiastic. His enthusiasm for life really is something else. Game Description

From Coach Barry Rawlyk

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

"Showron is a very dynamic, quick guard, very dangerous in open space. Very clever in getting to the basket to score or kicking to open shooters. He runs off the pick and roll very well and can get the ball to people in good spots. Very good in transition. He can score in bunches, although he is somewhat streaky from 3 point range, sometimes he just can't miss and at other times struggles a bit. However he has great ability to create his own shot at mid-range and is very tough to stop. He is very comfortable playing the 2 Guard spot as well. He is creative and fun to watch, but you have to bear with the fact that while he makes a lot of spectacular plays, he does give up some turnovers as a trade-off, however he has much improved over the last year in reducing his turnover ratio. In short, he will make all of his teammates a lot better and provide some significant scoring punch to any team. Defensively, while I think he takes too many risks, he is a very tough and disruptive defender, great lateral quickness, and outstanding ability to anticipate plays. Long arms, plays bigger than he is.

Showron has a very high basketball IQ and it helps him be in the right spots all the time defensively. In terms of his fitness and athleticism, he is one of the hardest working players I have known, and he is very determined to make himself into a great professional player, and that has paid off for him. Capable of playing a ton of minutes, not prone to any injuries, no serious injuries to date. His individual workouts are very intense and he allows you to push him very hard.

Showron is a very personable young man that gets along with everyone that he meets. Good teammate and good leader on the floor, good guy in the locker room and off the court. During a period of summer school, he actually lived with my wife and me, and we really enjoyed having him around. Very respectful and honest, and grateful for those people around him.

I'm not sure what kind of player you are looking for, but I know that Showron is a major talent. Showron's college team had the opportunity to play a number of NCAA D1 teams, and we always had coaches asking how the D1's missed on him. I think he tends to get overlooked because of his size (5'10"). I they are looking for a player that can create scoring opportunities for his teammates, score the ball, and crate some tempo in transition, then I think he would be a really good fit."
